About the Summit

In an increasingly connected world, local living economies are emerging as the engines of innovation for a more inclusive and sustainable global economy. Within each locality, public and private leaders must come together to reimagine ways to stimulate economic growth and to tackle job creation by maximizing existing resources.

At this summit, we’re bringing together local anchor institutions and industry leaders together to discuss how we can harness our local entrepreneurial initiatives that create new opportunities through workforce development and small business cluster-based growth.

Bring your talent, ideas and experiences, to create innovative solutions that expand shared economic opportunities. The 2016 Summit continues the conversations from 2014, which was attended by over 80 national and local leaders, and led to the creation of the Jersey City Local Economy Working group.

Join leaders from business, city government, philanthropic foundations, nonprofits, higher education and other stakeholders to discuss sustainable local economic development, and influence local small business development policy.

We hope you will be able to join us on May 12th and add your voice to this very important conversation.
